Tony believes in the importance of working on oneself before working with others. To grow as an individual and a therapist, he sought ought therapists from each of the major approaches. After experiencing them first hand, Tony stayed in therapy with therapists that he felt a connection with and whom used approaches that were effective for him. Most notably, Tony spent 4.5 years in a Deep Journey psychotherapy group facilitted by author and licensed psychotherapist Kenneth Kelzer, LCSW who pioneered this approach to therapy. Tony's participation in the group helped him grow as a person in addition to learning how to use this approach to therapy. Since the Deep Journey Method combines several previous approaches that include Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Experiential Dreamwork, Experiential Hypnosis and some aspects of Analytical psychotherapy, Tony particpated in trainings and obtained personal psychotherapy using these approaches. In this way, he was able to understand the Deep Journey Method on a deeper level.
